AI agents that pick up when you can't.

Our AI receptionist answers your calls, takes the caller's details and emails you a summary, the transcript and a link to the recording. We set it up on your number and look after it. We can also build custom agents for other work.

03 Emails you

How do you find out what was said?

05 Your inbox

What happened while you were closed?

Every call it answered is waiting in your inbox, so you can call people back knowing what they need.

What's it all running on?

It runs on our own phone platform, next to the phones and IT we already look after. We've looked after Melbourne businesses' IT since 2020.

  • Managed IT

  • Microsoft 365
  • Phones & network

That's one call, from ring to inbox.

Want it to do more? We can build extras for you, such as booking jobs into your calendar, sending text confirmations, looking up callers in your CRM, transferring urgent calls or posting summaries to Teams. These aren't part of the standard receptionist, and we quote them separately.

FAQ

AI agent questions, answered

What business owners ask us before starting.

What is the difference between an AI agent and a chatbot?

A traditional chatbot follows a fixed script and can only answer questions it was programmed for. An AI agent uses a large language model to understand open-ended requests. It can also be connected to tools so it can take action, such as checking availability or creating a support ticket, and hand a conversation to a person. Our standard AI receptionist answers calls, takes details and emails you. We can build agents that connect to your other systems.

Can an AI agent answer my business phone?

Yes. Our AI receptionist answers calls in a natural voice and handles common questions from the information you give it. It takes the caller's details and, straight after the call, emails you a summary, the transcript and a link to the call recording. It doesn't transfer calls, book jobs or send text messages today, but we can build those for you. Because In2Digital also runs business phone systems, we can connect it to your existing number and set when it answers, such as after hours, when no one picks up, or every call.

Will callers know they're talking to an AI?

You choose the greeting. We recommend it tells callers they're speaking with an AI assistant and that the call is recorded. Every call it answers is recorded, and you're responsible for telling your callers. Our Terms explain this.

How long does it take to build an AI agent?

It depends on what the agent needs to do, how many systems it connects to and how quickly we can get access and sign-off. We give you a timeline in writing before work starts.

How much does an AI agent cost?

It depends on the job: the channels it covers (phone, chat or email), the systems it connects to and how much it handles. We start with a free 30-minute consultation, then quote a fixed price for a pilot. After launch there's a monthly fee for what your Order lists, such as hosting, AI usage, monitoring and changes.

Which AI models and platforms do you use?

We pick the model and platform to suit the job. Options include Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini, with automation tools such as Power Automate to connect to your systems. Our AI receptionist uses a speech service to listen and speak, and an OpenAI language model for the conversation and the summary. For Microsoft 365 businesses, Copilot Studio is often a good place to start because it works within your existing security and permissions.

Is my data safe, and where is it stored?

Calls to the AI receptionist are recorded, and the recordings stay on our phone platform in Melbourne until they're deleted. Each call's email has the transcript and a link that plays the recording, and a copy stays in the mailbox we send it from. Treat these emails as confidential. We haven't set an automatic deletion period yet, so tell us if you want recordings deleted. During and after the call, the audio and transcript are processed by AI providers outside Australia, most likely in the United States, and the speech provider may keep call audio and use it to improve its models. For custom agents, we only give them access to the systems and data you approve, and before go-live we tell you in writing which AI providers will process your data and in which countries. Our Privacy Policy has the details.

Will an AI agent replace my staff?

It's meant to give them time back. Agents are best at repetitive work like answering the same questions and taking messages. That leaves your people free for work that needs judgement and relationships. Anything the agent can't help with goes to a person.

What happens if the agent gets something wrong?

AI can make mistakes, so each agent works to written instructions about what it can and can't do. Our AI receptionist doesn't make bookings, quotes or refunds. It takes details so a person can call back. You get the transcript and recording link for every call, so you can check what was said. If something's wrong, tell us and we'll fix its instructions or information.
